Fire Management and Landscape Restoration Fund

The Fund was created by the Mexican Fund for the Conservation of Nature to support field projects to promote fire management and ecosystem restoration in local communities. 

Monarch Butterfly Conservation Fund

World Wildlife Fund, in collaboration with the Mexican Fund for the Conservation of Nature designed the Monarch Butterfly Conservation Fund as an innovative conservation strategy to protect and restore the Monarch butterflies habitat in Mexico. The Fund provides economic incentives to land owners from the Protected Area´s Reserve core area that had management permits that were cancelled when the Reserve was created and those that do conservation work.

Veracruz State law for Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation

The law’s objective is to formulate and implement public policies for climate change adaptation, mitigation, protection of the state’s population and contribution to sustainable development within the Veracruz State. This law propose as a guideline "the incorporation of forest within PES systems and a policy criteria of zero deforestation rate."
