The Vision of the Ministry of Lands and Land Development is to develop the land resource to reap optimal and sustainable economic benefits through proper utilization of land. Mission: Ensure the ownership to land through the management and development of land resources with optimal utilization, with the objective of sustainable development based on a National Policy, while maintaining the environmental equilibrium.

Departments under the Ministry are: Survey Department, Land Commissioner’s General Department and Land Settlement Department. Divisions under the ministry are; Land Acquisition Division, Land Policy Division, BimSaviya Division, Land Use Policy Planning Division, Administration Division and Accounting and Finance Division.
