The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Vietnam is working on reference level scenarios in Vietnam, as well as a study to identify potential forests and land related to REDD and AR. It is also doing follow up work in 4 pilot sites (3 REDD+ related) and community forest management on REDD. In addition, it is involved in analysing land use, forest policy, capacity building and governance. The governments of Japan and Vietnam also entered an agreement for JICA to support the development of and access to basic information on forest resources to encourage sustainable forest management.
