Experts from leading civil society organizations in Brazil, Cameroon, and Indonesia will share their perspectives on the most pressing governance challenges facing REDD+ in their countries. Please join us for brief presentations and a candid discussion about what it will take to improve transparency, accountability, and participation on the ground.  Stay around for additional discussion and networking over cocktails in the WRI lobby.

The visiting experts from Brazil, Cameroon, and Indonesia are partners to the Governance of Forests Initiative (GFI), a global network of civil society organizations seeking to promote good governance through evidence-based advocacy. Since 2009, partners of GFI have carried out detailed and comprehensive assessments of forest governance in their countries.  For more information about GFI, visit: http://www.wri.org/project/gfi
