Participants:

  • 1.  Can summarize the lessons learned from a large-scale rural development program and the parallels between that program and a large-scale REDD+ program.

2.  Understand what it will take to deliver large-scale REDD+ programs on-the-ground in terms of a) skills and capabilities, b) timeline, and c) institutions.

Session Description:

This session seeks to draw lessons learned related to the management of large-scale rural development programs and analyze how those lessons may translate to the management of REDD+ programs. Two case studies will be presented and participants will be asked to draw key conclusions about the institutions and management requirements for large-scale REDD+ programs.
