Session Objective: 

Participants in this session will be able to:

1.  Cite the various sources for funding REDD+ endeavors, as well as the different needs/interests of the sources.
2.  Understand the funding plans that seek to ensure long-term sustainability to REDD+ and similar programs/projects.
3.  Know the importance of matching sources with project planning and activities needed.

Session Description:

This session aims to provide participants with the opportunity to put into practice their knowledge and learn new skills to produce funding plans that would provide sustainable flows of money to implement REDD+ programs/projects.  Participants will benefit from detailed presentations of the Berau funding plans as a starting point for this exercise.

Session Format:

Presentations by experts on financial models and sources

Participants break into 4 groups and work on Case Study finance example

Presentations of funding proposals by 4 groups for 5 minutes each

Winning funding proposal selected
