Session Objective:

Participants will develop a broad understanding of how the REDD sector could evolve, what's needed, where we are, and gain insight into how gaps in these processes could be closed.

Session Description:

The session will present a suggested 3-stage evolution of the REDD sector, the associated legal and institutional prerequisites for each stage, the developments to-date (across a range of multilateral, bilateral, national, and sub-national contexts), and invite the audience to think about how the REDD community can close the gaps.

Session Format:

Speakers will present relevant material

Audience members will break into 5 small groups - each assigned to think about gaps/solutions/priorities/sequencing across the different contexts led by relevant speakers above

Each group will have 5 minutes to report back their findings

Session will close with a synthesis

*Please note, although we encourage review of the entire Paris Oslo Synthesis below, section 4.2 is most relevant to this session.
