World Bank Approves GEF Project on REDD+ in the Congo Basin

The project will help countries in the Congo Basin develop the capacities and technical knowledge to measure forest carbon stocks in order to benefit from programmes on REDD+ (reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation in developing countries, as well as conservation, sustainable management of forests and enhancement of carbon stock).
