Forest Service (Brazil)

The Forest Service (SFB) is a unit within the Ministry of Environment whose main purpose is to manage natural resources, especially public forests.

The mission of the Forest Service is to balance the use and conservation of forests, highlighting the benefit of present and future generations, through the management of public forests, construction of knowledge, skills development and provision of specialist services.
