Casebook of REDD Projects in Latin America

The publication of the book "Casebook of REDD+ Projects in Latin America" presented innovative data at COP15. Idesam, in partnership with The Nature Conservancy Brazil (TNC), has mapped 17 initiatives for REDD+ in progress in Latin America, presenting the results in a simple and comparative way, analyzing the results of the research in terms of cost of generation REDD+ and of potential of reducing emissions.

Idesam believes that the implementation of pilot projects is crucial to the construction of efficient public policies and to assist in the discussions that take place under the UNFCCC. The presentation of these initiatives also serve as an encouragement for new institutions to take part in this process and in the construction of REDD+ mechanisms.
