Maximising the Co-benefits of REDD+ Actions

Key Messages from the Regional Expert Workshop to the REDD+ Partnership Meeting in Panama, 28 September 2011. The workshop was co-organized by the International Climate Initiative (ICI) of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), Germany, and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) of the Philippines in order to foster exchange of experiences among ICI projects on maximizing co-benefits and ensuring safeguards in REDD+ implementation. It gathered participants from 11 REDD+demonstration activities supported by the ICI in 9 countries in Southeast-Asia and the Pacific, including representatives from governments, private sector and civil society.
