REDD in the Real World
Narrated by former NPR host Alex Chadwick, REDD in the Real World uses the words and voices of those already involved in Readiness development around the world to elaborate the fundamental concepts and terminology that are pivotal to engaging in the issue. Contained in the film are 28 different voices, from 18 countries representing seven languages, which introduce technical concepts that are critical to understanding REDD and participating in the current policy debate. Topics discussed include the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), national and sub-national implementation, options for baseline scenarios, stakeholder engagement, financing mechanisms, and the differences between deforestation and forest degradation.
